The Godfather. Ted the owner of the Wax Shop in Rochester, NY. was watching a East Coast Ryders DVD and fell in love with the style of ryding big. There and then he decided he wanted to build a car, he called us up and told us he wanted to build a car that would be the King of the Street and money was not a problem. We had him ship the car down to Miami to have the lift done at Reds to accommodate 30" wheels, then it was off to Noels to have a 3" full chrome exhaust done. It was shipped back to NY where Ted began the body work and paint. A 400 chevy small block was being prepped to drop in, but ted wanted it to be big and powerful so he could turn the 30" wheels like butter. A blower was installed with twin Holley carbs. All the suspension was taken off, it was either painted or chromed by SPS Chrome. A custom aluminum fuel cell was built and installed. The interior was next and the seats were wrapped with suede and Coach. the head rest and dash were wrapped with Ostrich. Ted wanted the NY theme and the boys over at Mr.Scrape airbrushed a mural of the skyline of NY and the Godfather. After the car was complete we need Feet (wheels & Tires) Being the Godfather we needed the best so we called Asanti and would like to thank them for their help with the custom 30" AF 143. We need rubber so we called Pirelli and they were excited to help us in finishing the Godfather. Iced Out Emz sent a 30" iced out badge to let everyone know what we were riding. The vehicle is still having upgrades done and always looking for new sponsors. Look for the vehicle to be complete at the 2007 SEMA Show in November. In here you will see photos of the car being brought back to NY from Miami.
In Miami the car was lifted and exhaust installed. The Godfather was stripped
of its bumpers and sent to begin the body. |
 |
The body was in great condition and that made things easy. It was painted
with House of Kolor Candy Violette. A ghost flames were laid on to give
some extra visual effect. |
 |
A 400 small block, blower and twin Holley carbs was instaled to insure
enough power for the 30" wheels. |
 |
The interior was wrapped with suede, Coach fabric and Ostrich. |
 |
The suspension was custom built so that we have full turning
capabilities with 30" wheels. All the suspension was painted or chromed |
 |
Here is where the Godfather left NY to get the mural done. |
